About the procedure

It all starts with a great hairline, created individually for and with each client. We then match the color pigment to your skin color and hair color.

The pigment (up to 20,000-30,000 impressions) is placed into the top layer of skin. The final small follicle shaped impression won’t change in size due to the fact that it is sitting in the top layer of the dermis. Any existing hair follicles wont be disturbed as they are in a much lower layer of the epidermis. 

Procedures can require up to 4 sessions. In the first session we place a first layer of pigments, creating the perception of hair follicles spread out throughout the entire scalp. In the second session we fill in density to ensure optimal results while allowing room for small adjustments to the hairline and any color adjustments that may be necessary.  During the 3rd and 4th session - if needed - we fill in and darken any areas if necessary for an even and real look. Our procedures are usually scheduled 1 week to 10 days apart to allow time for healing. Each treatment can take between 1 and 4 hours, depending on the extent of the procedure.

SMP treatment typically can last up to ten years with proper care. After some time, a client may experience some slight fading, requiring a quick touch up.
